Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher while losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the lost 0.05%, while the index gained 0.28%, and the index added 1.18%.
The best performers of the session on the were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:), which rose 4.53% or 19.20 points to trade at 443.00 at the close. Meanwhile, HelloFresh SE (ETR:) added 3.78% or 1.07 points to end at 29.39 and E.ON SE (ETR:) was up 3.02% or 0.27 points to 9.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Covestro AG (ETR:), which fell 3.52% or 1.16 points to trade at 31.82 at the close. BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:) declined 2.29% or 1.02 points to end at 43.42 and Continental AG O.N. (ETR:) was down 2.03% or 1.36 points to 65.74.
The top performers on the MDAX were Stroeer SE (ETR:) which rose 8.06% to 46.10, K&S AG (ETR:) which was up 3.29% to settle at 21.02 and Rational AG (ETR:) which gained 3.16% to close at 620.00.
The worst performers were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which was down 4.00% to 10.79 in late trade, Evonik Industries AG (ETR:) which lost 2.55% to settle at 20.67 and Uniper SE (ETR:) which was down 2.16% to 6.81 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which rose 8.70% to 58.75, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:) which was up 4.53% to settle at 443.00 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:) which gained 4.50% to close at 45.04.
The worst performers were Kontron AG (ETR:) which was down 2.55% to 16.42 in late trade, Bechtle AG (ETR:) which lost 2.02% to settle at 44.62 and Freenet AG NA (ETR:) which was down 1.18% to 22.60 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 407 to 266 and 90 ended unchanged.
Shares in SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) rose to 52-week highs; up 8.70% or 4.70 to 58.75.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.43% to 23.04 a new 1-month low.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.45% or 8.15 to $1,805.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 2.80% or 2.57 to hit $94.50 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 2.38% or 2.32 to trade at $99.72 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.37% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 104.91.
